Yeah, I lost a lot of money in my earlier days too. Much to my grief, the loss wasn't because the company wasn't good but rather a series of downrampers who were masters at storytelling and emphathising luring you to sell when the SP was supressed intentionally as emotion came to play looking at huge red numbers on screen. Since then I learnt hard way to associate myself with the company and not the chart. I follow the charts closely to help with my entry/exit prices but fundamentally follow the analysis on the company. I have even seen many institutional investors hiring forum posters to ramp/downramp on variety of forums including online just to profit.
