I agree it hasn't started. This is how I take it. There are 2 weeks of perfomer heats remaining. So all performer acquisition should finish by then. So from next week it will be end of oct (3rd Nov to be precise)
The finals commence immediately after so I think they will start acquisition of fans at the same time which would be 3rd Nov because Stream 2 will finish by then and finals commence.
So I think the news will be like this -
1. Release engagement figures (next week)
2. Announce 3rd Judge (week after)
3. Release Stream 2 results of performers acquisition (week after that)
4. Release early download figures (week after than)
5. Earned media coverage (throughout 3 weeks of finals)
