Valid points. But most new inventions are an improvement of previous products. Afterpay is similar, why would anyone need this buy now pay later thing when you can simply get a credit card? Why do we need a smart phone when we already have Nokias and can bring a camera and computer with us? Why eat at a shitty fast food restaurant like McDonalds when I can go to a 3-5 star restaurant? Why buy invest in a dyson when I already have a vacuum cleaner that does the exact same thing? You make valid points, but it is weak if your questioning and point of resistance is why invest in something new if the only difference is convenience and ease of use.
