It's so frustrating when CTP is happy to provide information when news is good, but when it's not they clam up and let the market fill in the blanks.

Why the need for the sidetrack? How are the recompletions performing, they've been online for 6 weeks now?

We can only read between the lines in the absence of official info. Presumably they planned to drill the P3 reservoir with air as it was expected to be tighter than P1, and now if they're going to sidetrack it presumably didn't flow much at all, so they're going back for either a deviated sidetrack or potentially even a lateral.

For the recompletions production for the field seems to have stabilised about 31 TJ/d, which is about 1.5 TJ/d above what it was immediately before the work started. But who knows what wells have been turned on and off.

I note they've dropped the mention of the 45 TJ/d target too.

Hopefully the quarterly will provide a bit more info.
