Yes it should be possible. Whether it's worth it depends on the reservoir and what the unstimulated well produces.
Plenty of sandstone wells are fracced including basically every Cooper Basin well. The uplift in production they get depends on many things, including sandstone composition (silica vs clay content), the stress field, frac size etc. I've known some where the uplift is negligible and others where the post-frac rate has been 10x the pre-frac rate.
