@sabine (post: 70119926),"Gollada you seem to have the idea that ifthere is no merger then funding will magically appear to the value of more thanhalf a billion dollars and TMT can rush into mining ?"
Both TMT and AVL are struggling on their own. My argumentis TMT is more feasible then AVL ( I have already posted the tablecomparing the 2 projects multiple times). If TMT can't secure the funding, then how can we expect funding to magically appear to the value of more than halfa billion dollars for the merged entity? No one has clearlyoutlined how both TMT & AVL are going to benefit from the mergerother than a broad sweeping comment about leveraging off the synergies.
- why the fixation on not waiting?
Why would someone block the money for 2 yrswhile nothing is likely to happen till an updated BFS/DFS is completed for themerged entity. Might as well invest the money somewhere and make it work for you in the next 1-2 yrs. I am sure the waiting period will provide ample opportunities to buy back at a lot lower price. Prior to the merger news, most of us at TMT & AVL thought we were at the end of Stage 3 ready to take off. The merger will push us back to the start of Stage 3.
How long are you willing to wait? You are assuming everything will be hunky dory in 2 yr . What if this doesn't budge for another 5 yrs or may be10 yrs. Will you wait? I think a lot of long term holders have waited patiently for a fairly long time.
This is a kick in their guts.
