That fact that the timelines are going to be pushed out by 1 to 2 years at the very least is a big dampener.

The unanimous support from TMT mgmt, is also raising doubts on the viability of the project. If TMT couldn't pull it on it's own what is the guarantee, TMT and AVL together will get across the line. I think there is little TMT, AVL or the merged entity can do much to impact the CAPEX and OPEX in this inflationary environment. The only thing that can make this project(s) viable is the V price and sadly neither of the mgmt can influence that. They can just wait for the V price to go up. When will it go up is anyone's guess.

The only reason a lot of people are still holding is they are in red and are trapped. Look at what happened to TMT's SP in the past year. This is when we were all positive and looking forward to EPA approval, BFS and FID. What will happen in 2yrs time when there is not much to look forward to. if AVL's SP drops between now and the merger this might come down like a house of cards.

I pushed my self and took a loss when I sold MGT post consolidation at 80c. It was difficult to make that decision back then, but I am happy I did it. MGT's SP is now bobbing between 29 to 30 c.

Everyone has a threshold, when they get to it they will have to pull the plug whether they like it or not.
