It's real simple. TMT haven't delivered value add for the majority of its shareholders. The options on the table right now for holders are to get out at ~25c (for many at a loss), or wait as they get funnelled into owning shares in AVL. Hardly mouthwatering prospects for most people here. Holders won't see any benefit that might follow an EPA approval, or a perhaps an offtake agreement with Tata (remember all the trumpet blowing on that one). Also, just re-read the last conference presentation from 12 Sept describing the project highlights. Now it's all bets are off, because that all goes into the mix of the merger. It is the TMT holders that are getting the crap end of the stick here with TMT management's decision making and this awful deal.
