Nonsense..............they have not run wireline............ they will not know if its oil until they run wireline.
Gas shows are what they call "hydrocarbon indications" whilst drilling. Oil and Gas will both show as "gas shows" while drilling. All it means is there is oil or gas in the reservoir.
The cuttings having oil in them suggests the reservoirs are oil bearing.
Wait 7 days and you will mos likely find this is a major oil discovery imo.
