Perhaps. But you also need to hire people in anticipation of things going well even if you're not 100% certain they will, so that you're not chasing your tail when they do. If the trials fail, people can move on. This hire is promising, but in my opinion it's not a gaurantee of trial success. The only gaurantee of trial success is an announcement satying as much.
