During the 2008 financial crisis a lot of people had margin loans and the information was not very confidential
Knowing some directors of big ASX 50 ASX 100 companies had directors loans from the companies they just kept on trying to trigger stop losses
It caused quite a few companies into a bit of a financial crunch as they called in their own directors loans for sometimes huge amounts This caused the share price to fall lower ….a never ending downward spiral….triggering stop losses all the way down
