It will eventually succeed, but SI has made very heavy weather of it. It will succeed despite the poor management and woeful communications because the science is world leading in terms of trial success over a long period and largest number of people treated safely and with some amazing results where no other safe or effective treatments exist. Strong patent protection out past 2040, already won two big patent cases and licensed products. Some interest from big pharma, though that has yet to convert into a company making strategic partnership.The sad thing is that it didn't need to be this hard - laying out a proper corporate plan, focussing on a smaller number of products and slashing costs and bringing large instos along for the ride with well founded communications would've kept market support at much higher prices and meant that the latest CR was well supported at much higher prices.Frankly, we still don't know what is going on with potency assays, FDA pathways, time to approvals or funding - and these uncertainties have killed the share price.Sure, the price would pop much higher if there were to be a major strategic partnership or FDA approval, and everyone would call SI a genius - but why did he have to make it this hard in the interim???
