You're throwing around too many concerns without any perspective.
Steroids have side effects, in many people they're serious. Also steroids diminish in effectiveness over time.
In this case early treatment with stem cells is the most effective and long-lasting. There were a lot of patient groups and this was the finding. Pain relief is the most pressing need. If functionality wasn't met as part of the primary end points it isn't as critical and there is still a massive market for the pain relief.
The US authorities will be looking at the optimal responses possible.
Opioids and steroids are sub-optimal as treatments.
I don't need to spell out what's wrong with opioid dependency do I?
