Here's a trip down memory lane:
My take away from this is that SI met with "European regulators alongside Grunenthal" sometime after this Feb 2021 article and then heard that the only way for this to move forward is for them to see FDA approval and Grunenthal said 'well, you are on your own, Silviu'. Did Mesoblast tell the market this all hinged on FDA approval? Why yes they did - LAST WEEK, in amongst the GVHD news.
It looks like Grunenthal wanted to walk away by this......
....and Mesoblast desperately agreed that they will get FDA approval on their own and take ALL the risk away from Grunenthal before they give Mesoblast one more cent!!
What a deal maker!!!
I suppose it's better a better result than Novartis....? I mean, is it....?
It seems clear to me that the market has been drip fed the details of this 'partnership' over many years and it looks extremely biased towards one party in the agreement (and that's not Mesoblast). All IMO, I'm dying for someone to prove me wrong. Please.
