ok, i can see what your saying and a couple of other for differing reasons.
I still dont' see it as Halting, as there are secondary end pionts, and they said to continue (said complete) with the 233 and with all the followup. they would have used the word Halt if they meant that, they had no safetly concerns
still can see a couple of ways of reading it.. they aren't stopping it because of futility either, otherwise they would have said that too.
as for not reach 43%, that doesn't mean is a total failure. if they are getting somewhere near that, that a good out come anyway, .. think they are saying 60% are dying now anyway, (an improvement from 6 months ago).
some product etc, get approval with far less outcomes.
anyway i don't see this as a complete, well informing statement/accouncement either way.
