I see MSB as part of something much bigger, a controlled revolution that's going on, the emergence of new technology and the facing of truths that are psychologically difficult to accept.
I've been thinking for a while about how you'd phase out old technology, something we have such a strong psychological bond with.
I look at the job steroids do in GvHD where 1/3 of cases get a durable response, specifically a poorer job in grades 3 & 4 GI GvHD, where they're not known for mucosal healing.
Yes, I think given the safety profile of MSCs, Ryoncil should be a first line position. I think significantly more children would survive and it would work out cheaper.
