You’re inadvertently illustrating my point. The hammer mill is achieving 90% - if you read on in the same announcement it clearly states that the gravity plant was achieving 73-80%. That’s a great improvement but not the reason the samples are returning 30g/t + recoveries vs gravity mill returning 1.5 - 2g/t. It clearly states dilution was the mistake and blending development ore is unsuccessful (in that same announcement). i.e. If you fed 30g/t ore through the old plant you’d still get 22g/t out. (Vs 27g/t). And no announcement has explained how a 1.5 to 2 g/t feed can produce 9 g/t tailings.
By definition a 1.5 to 2 g/t head grade feed can’t produce more than 1.5 to 2 g/t. Mills can’t create gold. Feed 1.5 to 2 g/t ore into a hammer mill you’ll get 1.3 - 1.8 g/t out or probably less since it’s generally harder to get high recovery rates (i.e. %) with low grade ore
