The river from krajan has been surveyed (full bathymetric) by Cokal. Levels have been checked so information should be available to demonstrate the issues for barging. There is no medium to long term barging of any capacity from Krajan downstream, it will be ad hoc, low capacity and still have significant risk, in my opinion.
The road to the loading point at Batu Tuhup, is the only practical solution to a profitable future. Maybe the 10kt a month could be done, but will have months when not possible.
Once the conveyor is commissioned, and more coal by road, barging contractors will take this seriously. Indonesia produced record annual tonnes (again) last year, so i doubt barging contractors have a problem getting work. Why go to Krajan ?
