Compare these with IXR which averaged 14 kg/t acid consumption at ~55% MREE extraction in their testwork, but at a much lower head grade than OD6 and in Uganda. Surely if OD6 pivot to sulphuric that will get the market on side and a rerate? I think the HCl is a bridge too far, no matter how much they try convince the market the electrolysers are cheap and they are gonna build a sea of solar panels and a monster wind farm to feed it electricity. Trying to be the first at something in mining is always a bad idea, and there's no REE mine globally using HCl. Unfortunately mining is extremely conservative and being the first is avoided like the plague.
