It's hugely relevant. As another poster pointed out, a Slovak nationalist, Roberto Fisk (think Orban & Putin like) has gained power. He detests democracy & the EU. He's changing the penal code to suit his own agenda. It's this sort of environment that favours the Chinese over western companies. State instruments that once would have vetted a takeover like this are now rubber stampers to Fisk's & his cronies wishes. If anything I think it's conducive to deal making.
