Many people are selling/have sold rocks that came from Rusty Lake, such as these:

Given these little unassuming rocks are selling for up to $50 each, I think it's safe to say the muckpiles have already been very thoroughly raided on the surface for the best pieces by hundreds of people throughout the many decades since mining, yet the samples recently found there were still extremely high grade.
The piles are enormous, so below the surface there's probably quite literally tonnes of untouched unseen material because I don't think anyone would have got the Bobcat out for it yet, not even MTC for its sampling.
Ads for the rocks even mention Skudderite (Instead of me making a chemical research report, let's just simplify it as Cobalt Arsenide) and Nickelite (self explanatory) meaning they weren't only picking the silver out but even looking for the same things we are.
Will be interesting to see how much better fresh drill core in targets pinpointed using modern methods (expensive helicopter magnetics) can be.
