The methodological purpose of the sampling is to gather some preliminary data on the lay of the land; if bonanza grades are found, then that secondarily becomes company marketing. What this announcement confirms is that the metal occurs in rich hydrothermal veins and is only found in low values in the surrounding rock. The questions remain therefore the same as before: how far do the veins extend, and are there more undiscovered nearby?

Given the nature of the mineralisation and thick cover soil sampling is an appropriate early stage exploration technique. Meteoric has completed a geochemical soil sampling program at Mulligan and samples have been submitted for assaying. Results are expected shortly. Induced Polarisation (IP) is another applicable technique that has had success on similar geologic targets. Meteoric has submitted an Exploration Plan to the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines for a program of ground-based IP and magnetic geophysical surveying at Mulligan. Approval should be received mid-late December. Survey planning is in progress."

My summary would read something like: "High grade ore reconfirmed at Mulligan. Preliminary hand samples from first site visit to assist exploration planning. Soil sampling program already completed, results to return shortly. Forward exploration plan submitted for approval to relevant Ministry, expected response by December." Just reread the announcement, that's basically what they wrote as the highlights.
