Also goes on to say that Gulaptis didn't know what the figure was because he wasn't privy to discussions, so he could be talking through his hat.
For those unaware of the situation, I'm sure it would've seemed like a substantial payout. But if all they offered was today's market cap, then that isn't satisfactory.
Best not to reveal the actual figure, otherwise it becomes even more politicized. In any case, its market sensitive and would prejudice further discussions, so it will remain quiet.
Like you, I'm still curious though.
