There is nothing unethical about MXC stating that they are investigating the potential benefits of Artemisinin in relation to COVID-19. It was successful in treating previous SARS outbreaks so there is potential it maybe effective again this time. Time will tell. Only an intention has been claimed.
I would be more concerned about all the vaccines being developed for COVID-19 in a mad rush, bypassing regular protocols in order to bring a "solution" to market - I'm assuming you will gladly line up as a guinea pig for that. Supplements that are known to improve immune function or that have ani-viral effects will not inhibit treatment of COVID-19. If anything most people should be looking at fortifying their immune systems not waiting for their big pharma saviours to drop them a solution to their poor lifestyle choices.
