Bingo. Trusts don’t pay tax (per se). So how can you provide an effective tax rate to put in a deferred tax liability like LICs? The answer is you can’t.
I don’t hold this, but have LICs, my wife has a small holding in this purely for simplistic international exposure outside ETFs.
