The other clear advantage of ‘green friendly’ value-added products such as Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) and High Purity Iron (HPI) is that their pricings are not only magnitudes higher than could be expected from ROM Buena Vista ore (exceptionally high-grade as that may be - 67.5% Fe!), their markets are far less volatile.
Such insulation from the swings and roundabouts of fluctuating raw IO markets is likely to be viewed as a major advantage by US investors.
