Aust is worlds largest or second largest AU producer. Much of production is hedged at individual mine level probably at behest of original lender.
Lastly, lets not ignore the fact that US operated index funds, ETFs ets are major shareholders of Aussie gold producers in any case. zif their client says sell, they sell.
