IMO, Looking at the daily price change for companies that supply a market in which it has little control of the price is enough to send you bonkers.There are always some other powerful forces at play that don't follow the same rules as mum and dad investors (such as me).Plus the share market has a mind of its own. trying to understand its momentary lapse of reason is futile.
Apart from black swan events, I personally prefer to look at weekly charts. A good quality company will normally perform well in a given time frame. It gives me a better understanding on the health of the share price relative to its market commodity.
