While I am mostly fundamentals driven I do own and have read the TA bible (Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets - J murphy). Just reviewed the section on gaps now. So thanks. The 3 types of gaps never seemed significant enough for me to recall. I know them now!

I suppose there's only one reason why one buys and 100s of reasons why one might sell. I speculate the following reasons for the SP drop:

1. poor nearology drill results from LNR (thanks @1lluminator)
2. xmas sell off
3. stop losses triggered by a breach in the support line
4. more rational/negative sentiment in the REE market
5. macro pressures
6. some sort of epiphany that our our august breakway price action was based on trivial rock chip assays?
7. Release of the below 8mil escrow penny seed shares.
