This announcement did not register on the Ginkgo website but their initial agreement with Microba and their investment in Microba's IPO did earn an article on the Ginkgo website.

The current deal is that Ginkgo will use its operations to fast forward testing the cultures that Microba sends it for the next two years. So not only do the two companies have the capacity to find a needle in the haystack but they can do so at warp speed to what was previously possible. But it still involves looking for a needle. Just another punt for Ginkgo but extremely crucial to Microba. At normal speed I suspect Microba would be going into the doldrums for quite a period.
