    - the feedstock for this process is low grade fines … something PLS is diverting to the tailings dam (or that their customers wish PLS was diverting there)
    - from that, the process is producing a salt with >36% Li (that’s more than double Li in LiCO3)
    - so … PLS will get ~3,000tpa of product worth up to twice LiCO3 produced from a low grade blending product (or waste).

    I’m sure you’ve got a better idea of LiCO3/LiOH prices going forward so will leave you to do your own gross margin calc. With my limited following of prices, I can certainly understand why they scaled up the demo plant! Will be interesting how the two share the spoils - seems they’re working very cooperatively so hopefully negotiations don’t slow things up.

    Of course, the added benefit to PLS is also the longer term (significant) increase in resource and mine life (not just the additional yield). That same benefit means many other Spod miners will likely happily pay the JV for the tech.
