Looks familiar. Trying to find any new info I can find from it though. These things have to be continually produced I understand, but I really only look for updates. It was nice to see steel front and center. With 109,000 MTV used worldwide in 2020 I'm starting to understand why all these new vanadium explorers only want to talk about batteries. That steel market looks plenty supplied to me, and the chances of the Chinese becoming strict on their steel manufacturers must be about the same as my daughters show horse winning the Melbourne Cup. Nice to talk about at cocktail parties, but I'm pretty sure I know the reality, and if they're too stupid not to see it, then that's their problem.
What seems to be screaming out to me right now is just how critical it is for the market to fall in love with this upcoming BFS. Man oh man I have never seen so much pressure put on a company for one particular announcement. If current large holders don't feel AVL's entire package can impress someone enough to hand over half a BILLION dollars in the upcoming months, then what else could possibly come up after to turn it around? I mean talk about a defining moment for a company!! I remember back in the day investing in a company based on what I believed would be the JORC numbers. It wasn't a big secret based on all the announcements, but man did I think it was cheap with those numbers. Sure enough the JORC came out with the numbers I was waiting for and BANG it was down 50% within an hour. What I hadn't learned at that point was that the "big boys" had already factored in my numbers when investing. What they were expecting were numbers that blew them away. At the end of the day they didn't like the JORC and at just a 20% loss (for them) were out the door and onto the next one that day. Meanwhile those that checked in at lunch were scratching their heads wondering what the heck had just happened, and then they had to get in the back of the line to sell. Man it was ugly!!
Like I've said, I hope the stock does well when the BFS comes out. I don't think it will for some reason, but I wish shareholders well none the less. There is nothing worse in my opinion than someone putting their hard earned money into a company, and not only backing the product, but backing the people involved, and then being let down, not told the truth and being left severely out of pocket. Not a chance I'd ever be a part of something like that!! In my opinion, you go to LOYAL shareholders first when you dilute the hell out of your company when making sure there's enough money to pay wages etc. THEN, if they aren't interested, you go and sell yourself on the street, not visa versa!!! That's why this raise has stung as much, and why I've spent so much time sending out emails ascertaining who was buying and selling stock going into the capital raising announcement. Normally I wouldn't care much.
So we'll just wait and see what the market thinks of the announcement. For instance, you think I'm the only one interested in what the new plant costs are?? Compare building a house when those numbers were first released and now. Get my point? I would imagine they will be transparent and have up to date numbers reflecting inflation, and I'll be the first to point it out if they are, but we'll just have to see. Kind of like a company close by basing their numbers on a $12 vanadium price. How about cut that number in half and see how it all looks.
Well, back to things that actually pay the bills. Fun watching the share price tug of war. I see 58 million shares wanted at 2.1, 2.0 & 1.9c while 63 million shares for sale at 2.2, 2.3 & 2.5c. Anything out of that range is all garbage! The funny thing is, when I picture it, I can actually see who's on each side of the rope.Same with the options!!
