re: Ann: MIKOH signs with local partner in Ma... Moosey - My reading is that this deal is very similar to the Thailand one in terms of the potential AVI applications, so as that deal got off the ground first it is the one that will initially showcase the benefits of using Mikoh technology in EVR/AVI systems.
Having said that, we don't want to get too carried away just yet, as today's announcement is only saying the joint venture company has been formed to try and secure the EVR concession. The question then becomes, how many other bidders are there, and when is the concession likely to be awarded? Can any of those who were at the EGM enlighten those of us who weren't, or has anyone done some research on where the Malaysian government are up to re the proposed system?
If the new joint venture company does win the Malaysian concession in time, MIKOH must then surely be in an excellent position to land further countrywide EVR deals, being the incumbent tag supplier in what I presume will be the two biggest current EVR systems being implemented.
Or are there other countries implementing (or using )different systems that we are not aware of?
