Your post is full of misconceptions and possibly a very generic understanding of what the brainchip actually does. I suggest you go and read some of the patents peter has.

Let's at least debunk your post for some misconceptions + the fun of it.

To program a car, you would need to take inputs from multiple sources for an example

1) constant acceleration at any point
2) Directions in x-y cordinates
3) Sensory inputs to avoid crashing into cordinates
4) velocity + rear travelling objects

and so on..

A traditional chip cannot compute this all together. This is exactly the problem DARPA faced with their drones that simulation is never real time and the chip cannot process these many targets or parameters at once. Hence the need for a chip capable of reiterating over tasks by using logic to generate outputs that are optimal for goal at hand. They needed to devise chips that are autonomous so for an example if the headwind in the drone is below 600mph then reduce the velocity by about 3.2%.

The advantage of brainchip is that it can utilize all of these inputs in parallel and create outputs or desired outcomes.Traditional silicon chips cannot compute in parallel (well at least in a meaningful sense ) and hence the need for Peter and his years of work.

As a software engineer , you would appreciate the need for threading in processors and the advantage or running processes in parallel.

You did not compute the announcement properly.

The genetic algorithm model, as used by global technology companies, took 15 minutes to complete one circuit whereas the SNAP car completed one circuit of the track in 25 seconds. In Milestone 2 SNAP completes the same circuit in just 0.89 seconds.

Its not just any genetic algo model but one used by global tech companies used today. Take that ratio of 900:25:0.89 and think what they will pay to achieve for that process cycle.

That makes no sense specially for a man who claims to be a software engineer. The real world usable FPGA have only been around for 30 years. The test was performed on Xilinx board which is the base for the experiment and the entire result of the experiment was limited by the upper performance standard of that board. Imagine if they had unrestricted access to funds then they benchmarks they could have achieved. For a meagre 4 mil peanuts I would say the results are pretty good.

The announcement clearly states that they then had to move to silicon based chips which the existing partners would use in real world ! Well Qualcomm and Intel come to mind.

Look man, we are all for robust discussion but clearly you haven't read what the invention is and you are clearly just trolling with software tech lingo. There is no "meaningful test" but benchmarks and the neural update cycle and time are both an accurate measure. They have omitted power which I think could possibly be the only matrix they have chosen to not publish (obviously because the invention is ahead of its time and they have to come back and integrate this in silicon based chips which will see large power consumption) and I don' see a large problem with that specially when we all can hook a cable in our wall to derive a large static flow.

Google's entire operation is software based. Sensor as inputs provides data which a software analyses and makes decision.Now imagine if a hardware could make that decision for the car at 900:089 time ratio. This is the difference in saving 50 lives vs 0 lives on a bus speeding at 90 miles an hour and needs to stop within 15 meters.

Google's annual revenue is many million fold more than the actual amount we have raised. Now if we can achieve meaningful operation and get some Fortune 500 interested to develop and commercialize the tech imagine what 500 MIL would do when the actual value of this tech is realized.

I do not know if you are upset because you sold too early or did not get a chance to buy but if you would want a protip then buy when you can even now. There is only a finite time before they announce Qualcomm and at which point 1B+ would probably be an idealistic valuation.

Look at some biotechs working with Fortune 500 and their valuations. You had be amazed that BRN is multifold undervalued.
