I think Peter will be fending off requests for licences and partnerships left, right and centre from Monday morning onwards (probably already is this weekend).
So, he needs to do what he does best......which means he needs to get the new CEO in place, so Peter can do what Peter does.

Having said that, I think the other milestones will fall l into place fairly rapidly. A lot of these multinationals are in competition with each other (i.e. Qualcomm vs Samsung who use their own chip in their own phones, as but one example), so Qualcomm wants an edge - an advantage. Especially after the
Snapdragon 810 chip had overheating problems (the reason Samsung went to using it's own chip, I have read in the last two days). Qualcomm will want this edge starting from yesterday. Time is money and we are talking about companies whose worth is measured in the Billions of dollars.

So in other words, I agree with you!
