The only reason i can come up with is due to the fact all companies have to keep an eye on social media HC ect. plus all the phone calls (Feed Back) Maybe they think time will weaken a few more.
People in the phone calls may have let some thing out of the bag They didn't ring every one for nothing.
Been lots of chatter on HC about people thinking of taking the offer.

I can see that if no one else rolls over he will close the offer. and after 3 months or so make a new offer. IMO because he wants total control and a fresh offer would be the best option.JMO.
Bear in mind after a couple of drills NWE will need money, No big deal but if you can't afford to participate you/we will be diluted some what.
