    Your suggestion is completely valid and reasonable, but here is an alternate hypothetical scenario for you to consider, naturally AIMHO:

    NWE board meeting called by MIN
    The chairman announces: Youse guys need to raise money to pay for all the risky exploration activities MIN has planned. Do a CR at 7.4 cps and MIN will be the underwriter We will pick up all the shortfall. It's a no brainer.

    Meeting closed

    By the way, I have never owned MIN shares and I have no intention of buying any.
