I totally agree with you.
MIN can do that whenever they want re capital raising and basically there is nothing the remaining shareholders can do
I thought I had canvassed this possibility in a post.
I feel that whether they do a rights issue or a placement depends on the shareholding MIN end up with.
I doubt they are that worried about gaining an extra 1 or 2% if they are around 60%.
I also doubt they care about a little dilution from a placement if they hold around 60%, and of course the placement to sophicated investors will be to parties friendly to MIN.
I love the term "sophicated investor".
Not like their chasing $50 mill though so overall I do not think it will make a lot of difference.
The most annoying this is the only need for a CR is to pay for MIN's takeover.
