2. WORK PROGRAM COMMITMENTS Exploration permits are granted for an initial period of six years and are subject to a condition requiring work to be carried out by the permittee in accordance with a work program.
A year of a work program is referred to as a “permit year” and may not always represent a calendar year. With reference to clauses 1.6 and 1.7 above, permittees should note that annual fee and reporting requirements are independent of permit years.
A permittee must undertake each commitment in the work program within the permit area, and commencing in the designated permit year. Failure to do so constitutes non-compliance with the conditions of an exploration permit and may result in cancellation of the permit.
I highly doubt MinRes will want the permit cancelled.
