Yes - I thought the salary reward before achieving the outcome was extraordinary, and just put the cashflow under more pressure. I have no issue with the increase when the project are complete and profits are strong, but when the company was in a fragile cash position was a very poor decision. He now needs to finish this deal and prove he is worth it.
