I don't know about the rest of you guys but this now opens the floodgates IMO.
The permit news recently was good for an update but this is what allows the plant to now be built.
Until now, without knowing the start date there was no way to know if it could be built on time. This changes that.
The company very recently reaffirmed guidance of the opening ceremony in early November. They must have know at that time that the EPCM was in the final stages of being signed and they had already started early site works. The market should be much more confident of first production this year after this mornings news than it could have been yesterday.
Only 5 months to the opening ceremony and a long way to go for the sp to get anywhere near the 34c sp that it takes to reach the mc equivalent to the after tax, base case NPV of this first project. So hopefully we can see the sp now begin a sustained rally over the next 5 months as news flows through of progress.
