Increase in Reserves for Buller Coal Project
Highlights:
- Increase in Proved ROM Reserve by 20% to 16.9 mt
- Increase in Total ROM Reserve by 10.6% to 34.4 mt
- Increase in Proved Product Reserve by 15.9% to 13.1 mt
Bathurst Resources (New Zealand) Limited (NZX/ ASX: BRL, "Bathurst") is
pleased to announce an update to the coal reserves tonnage for the Buller
Coal Project.
Continued analysis of exploration programmes has resulted in an increased
confidence of the known proved reserves for the South Buller deposits. This
has resulted in an increase in the total Run of Mine ("ROM") reserves to 34.4
mt while the Proved Product Reserves tonnage has increased to 13.1mt compared
with 11.3 mt previously.
Bathurst Managing Director Hamish Bohannan said: "We are continually working
to prove up the known reserves for the Buller Project. We are now planning
the next programmes to be implemented in the coming year that will add to
this knowlege"
