Price is USD 4.50 per dry metric ton unit (dmtu) CIF - a dmtu is defined as follows:
ADry Metric Tonne (Ton) Unit(dmtu) is the internationally agreed-upon unit of measure for iron ore pricing. It has the same mass value as a metric tonne, but the material has been dried to decrease the moisture level. A dry metric ton unit consists of 1% of iron (Fe) contained in a tonne of ore, excluding moisture.
So it looks to that for 10% Mn the value would be USD 45 per tonne so 100 million tonnes would be worth approx. AUD 6 billion. Happy to be corrected if incorrect but surely the Mn ore is worth more than USD 4.50 per tonne?
