You claim that AVL appear to be "streets ahead of anyone else", and comment on the size of their potential mine. Yet according to a recent comparison of the V2O5 tonnage output from Vanadium mines worldwide currently in production, or planned for future production, AVL is not particular large - see Peer comparison on page 8 :

AVL (at 7560tpa) when in production, would be similar to TNG and Bushveld. Actually the biggest production rate would be TMT (the neighbours) they would produce 12800tpa, nearly double that of AVL. TMT would then have the highest annual production of V2O5 of all those companies listed (so probably wordlwide?).
