Regarding the "logging calibration inconsistencies" I've done some research to understand the significance of this.
It seems that "Only when logging results can be demonstrated as conforming to established calibrated standards can it be relied upon. It is essential that any logging system acquiring geophysical data, be it for mining resource estimation or civil engineering design, is supported by a proven, traceable and verifiable calibration regime."
Further " calibration procedures provide reassurance that data acquisition complies with the various mandatory requirements for the classification of Mineral Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves. This level of confidence is critical in defining geological knowledge and technical/economic parameters for use in Public Reports, including the JORC, CIM, UNFC, CRIRSCO, PERC, SAMREC, SME and MRC International standards". Unless this is achieved, logging results cannot meet the necessary compliance standards and log data cannot be used for qualitative measurement or calculations.
So this seems to be a technical data collection and analysis problem detected by the consultants that needs to be sorted out in order to obtain reliable data for the important Mineral Resource update.
There is actually nothing unusual about this and apparently occurs infrequently..
But the validity of the final report depends on it, so it just has to be done.
And this takes time.
