This is a double edged sword and why there wont be much competition to Sueprgrade(R) as Brazil is having massive tailings dam issues in their wet climate plus high levels of impurities. HIO on the other hand has low impurities and the ~90% of waste can probably eventually go back into the ground it was mined from (assuming a wet separation process??) once dry. I doubt there is much of a water table to deal with hence they are piping water in from afar. It may not even need conventional tailings dams, just dump piles draining into recycled water dams then the drained waste placed on a conveyor system and stockpiled for return to the pit after each section is mined. Pure speculation on my part however I'm sure they will sort it, I suspect KPS is more of a mining technology software partner rather than mining process specialist.
