Just this a point of interest. Going back over the PFS I had a look at the original proposals for the waste product. Obviously this will be updated but there are a few interesting points here.

From the PFS - Tailings will be thickened and pumped to a circular tailing storage facility and single cell and perimeter discharge will be utilised.

A picture of the tailings dam is provided in the PFS and sits adjacent to the mine.

Approvals

Carpentaria has lodged a mining lease application and is working to complete the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) to allow lodgment of the Environmental Impact Statement. No significant issues have been identified to date.

In September 2018 the Commonwealth Department of Environment and Energy under the Environmental Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC Act) decided Hawsons NSW component was NOT a Controlled Action and did not require any further approvals under the EPBC Act.

After reading this I think it's safe to presume that no environmentally toxic elements have been detected in Hawson's orebody to date. Time will tell I guess.
