100% I'm not an accountant, for the last 9 years I have been employed as the CSO of a global manufacturer of mining equipment. I have tendered for supply contract like this many years hence my "educated guess" of what the total cost will be.
Thanks for stating your thoughts of the cost (sub $3 billion) you have been the only person to put a figure on it.
I've looked at the cost by comparing HIO's proposed mine with others already up and running. The mine's open cut and processing plant needs to produce twice the tpa as Yandi, (Australia's largest open cut mine), I can not see this being built and getting change from $3 billion. Time will tell I guess, thanks for you honest feedback.
