re: Ann: Mines Money Hong Kong Presentation -... LTL,
Its all coming together for NTU....fast!
The U.S. has quietly introduced 10 separate bills over
the last 12 months to channel funds toward alleviating
REE shortages.
Quietly again..Obama signed a National Defense Resources
Preparedness Policy on March 16 2012 [NDRP] to tighten up
the nation in case of an emergency.
The pending 'protracted' brawl between the U.S.,EU,Japan,
versus China over 'who really owns what' in the REE stakes
is obviously panicking the American military.
Section 102 in the NDRP act states....
The U.S. must have an industrial and technical base capable
of meeting National Defense requirements and capable of
contributing to the technological superiority of its defense
equipment in peace time and in times of National Emergency.
The domestic and technological base is the foundation for
National Defense Preparedness. The authorities provided in
the act, shall be used to strengthen this and to ensure it
is capable of responding to the defense needs of the U.S.
Can you guys imagine if the boot was on the other foot
and the U.S. was currently the dominant player on the
REE field?. The WTO has 'buckleys hope' of forcing China
to toe the line, for Beijing will do whatever is in their
best interest....period!
China is increasing its military base and may want to
'contain' their American counterpart by controlling the
flow of REEs to their military manufacturing companies,
who are already reporting chronic shortages....
Production v non production...
A group of U.S. law graduates are taking legal action
against law schools for producing too many lawyers,as
America has the highest number per capita.[36% over
supplied]...non productive.
Whereas,China has the highest number of engineers and
the count [500,000+] is growing rapidly...productive!
Science will be the domain of China for decades to come
and no doubt a percentage of China's engineers will be
constantly channeled into their Rare Earth industry.
Hence, its not hard to envisage a vastly superior China
'resisting' increased pressure from belated nations that
are paying the price for their short-sightedness in the
race for Rare Earth dominance.
And by restricting a reliable flow of 'heavies' to the
ROW,China may well create a Bull Run that will pale to
insignificance the U and Gold rushes of the past IMO.
Finally..
Moly's acquisition of Neo Materials will trigger further
amalgamations in the industry [stampede?] and Moly itself
now becomes a 'target' for takeover.Who will be next?...
An old wise man once said..we make our world significant
by the courage of our questions and by the depth of our
answers :)
