Please note for the record I am neither a holder of LYC or ARU, thus I'm not biased towards one or the other.

From the facts, LYC is now a 'rare earths' producer (well done), they are making decent coin in an uptrend market. They also have a couple hundred million in debt, and convertible bonds issuance - they need to start thinking more along the lines of "Twiggy" in my opinion. The growth for LYC has somewhat been factored in, that aside they can now be accrued by major funds.

ARU, although it is early days, has as great yet in my personal opinion greater potential than LYC. The simple fact is that although the rare earth market is extremely tight the current most important element of the rare earths is NdPr - essentially for the EV market, more specifically "magnets". Although energy density is vitally important i.e. Cobalt, the battery structure is simply impossible without the magnetic elements adjoining all components/ ions. ARU currently has ~$10m cash, and travelling from strength to strength.

They will need to via equity/ placement raise going forward yet the Capex will be a great deal less than that of LYC. As at the end of the day I believe as at this stage ARU is a better medium/ long term hold - simply due to the timing of their transition.

Both are good in their own right BUT right now if I had to buy one of two, cyclically it would certainly be ARU.

Take that as you will, and although I will likely receive thumbs from the ARU holders what is more relevant is to understand that the timing of your investment is sometimes more important than the company itself - there have been behemoth deposits that never made it into production due to market forces ... ARU is perfectly primed.

There is nothing wrong will selling some LYC to acquire a small amount of ARU, sometimes our own stubbornness can cost us money. For example, gold bugs didn't want to diversify into crypto currencies ... wrong bet ... hindsight is a beautiful thing !!

Have done enough personal research now regarding the neodymium market(s) and specifically Arafura (ARU), I'm very content with where they are headed and the time-frames that the company is aiming for.

I have taken a small position today, and will be accruing over the next 3 months. I believe that ARU is primed for a re-rate; this will likely begin to happen around mid-September.
